Psalm 122 is appointed to remember Hilda of Whitby

122 Lætatus sum

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: *
"May they prosper who love you.

7 Peace be within your walls *
and quietness within your towers.

8 For my brethren and companions' sake, *
I pray for your prosperity.

9 Because of the house of the Lord our God, *
I will seek to do you good."

Voices Found #157, Vs. 2

For God has said, my peace will flow,

and treasures of the earth.

Like banks of waters past their oil,

her comfort will pour forth

Words: Patricia B. Clark, para. A Song of Jerusalem Our Mother

God has worked, the proud to scatter; humble hungry ones to raise." Words: Carolyn Winfrey Gillette Music:  Ecce Deus,  Alfred V. Fedak "Mary heard the an...

Her music, notated in the neumes of her time, is preserved in two  manuscripts in Europe.   With the publication of Wonder Love and Praise,   my transcription of Hildegard's chant is available in modern notation for today's worship.    Now all can sing Hildegard's ethereal music . Kyrie  is ecstatic,  florid, and filled  with soaring melismas  best performed by a soloist or small group...
